We will assist our clients with retiring their computers, cell phones, etc., responsibly. With over 50 clients, this program will help to ensure a cleaner environment.

We will ensure that all of our facilities adopt a green approach by recycling paper and equipment. We will encourage our employees to adopt a green approach at home. As a result, we have the potential to impact over 3,000 people/homes across the globe.

Additionally Worldwide TechServices has formed relationship with companies that are in full compliant  with EPA guidelines and government regulations for the recycling and destruction of electronic equipment and as such, have not been subject to any environmental penalties or fines.

 Carbon Footprint

Worldwide TechServices has taken initiatives in reducing its carbon footprint. We have moved some of our workforce into virtual environment settings, thus allowing WWTS to close a number of office facilities. Going virtual in these areas eliminated the need of having employees commute to the office, resulting in a reduction of carbon emissions. WWTS’ energy consumption; facility emissions and waste have also been eliminated from these locations by these actions.

Eco-Friendly Tips

Everything is green these days from socks to hair spray to automobiles and for a good reason.  This is the only planet we have.  It is in the news, in politics, in fashion, and even in technology.  You can hardly escape it on the Internet and now there is even a Planet Green TV network where you can enjoy eco-friendly entertainment 24 hours a day. What a world we live in. 

 All this is great.  But if you are like us there seems to be a green overload or as we call it – Green Fatigue.  Therefore, Worldwide TechServices is making “how to go green” a little easier.  On a regular basis Mr. Green publishes simple, to the point “Green Tips.”

Emissions

Purchased Honda Civics: 2006, 2007, and 2008 to help reduce fuel consumption; therefore reducing carbon monoxide emissions.

In September, Worldwide TechServices’ first fundraising event, “Dress Down for Charity,” where employees donated monies and in return were able to where casual attire for the day.  Since then, the company has held additional “Dress Down” days as well as organized book and food drives.  In January several employees helped set up decorations and served food at the annual New Year’s dance  for a small, non-profit organization that works to promote public awareness and understanding of the needs and issues specific to the developmentally delayed and their families. Also in September, Worldwide TechServices   supported the Alternative House Foundation by providing donations and time in support of their Annual Golf tournament. 

July 2011 Worldwide TechServices’ held a fundraising event to assist the foundation in outfitting their kitchen with new cooking equipment. Worldwide TechService is committed to assisting these types of organizations.

Slough, Berkshire, England, April  2011 — Employees at Worldwide TechServices UK headquarters has taken a nonprofit special needs foundation under its wing.

The charitable community organization gives people of all ages with various disabilities and special needs the opportunity to interact with farm animals and participate in gardening.  In addition to many therapeutic benefits, the farm’s activities allow visitors to improve skills, develop confidence and gain a great sense of personal achievement.  Employees are encouraged to spend time at the farm and our hands-on relationship is something we’re really proud of.  And, having the organization within walking distance of our office is an added bonus.” 

In addition to watching children and spending time with adults at the farm, Worldwide TechServices’ employees have held a variety of fund raising programs in their UK office, including a laptop auction that raised £2000 and a used toner drive that helped contribute additional funds.
